This package is best suited for anchor individuals who lived between the years of 1850 to 1950. Earlier or undocumented anchors may require a custom project due to limited record access. It is also always possible to choose a later anchor person to gain context for the person of interest.
You are responsible for providing the core information of an anchor ancestor or family line of interest, including:
-
full name
-
approximate birth year and location
-
as much family context as possible (parent or grandparent names, dates, etc. if known)
-
Geographic focus (if known) or goal (e.g., “trace paternal side to immigration”)
-
Any relevant documents already in possession (optional)
Reasonable extension is determined by the genealogist on the project.
-
Research is limited by record availability—no guarantees on breaking through “brick walls.”
-
No living persons will be investigated unless previously consented or already documented by the client.
-
Report does not include every record ever found—only those that directly support findings or key questions.
-
One round of follow-up questions is included within 2 weeks of delivery.
-
Does not include new lines of inquiry or full re-research.
-
May include clarification or minor addendum (e.g., “Can you explain why you ruled out X?”).
